Hi Kevin. Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the advice and having the Avet MXL reel available for me to purchase from you. Being a small business owner myself, I like it when I can support small shops vs corporate. That reel made battling the numerous albacore we encountered so much more enjoyable. Surely that Avet is the finest reel I have ever owned. I really need to upgrade to a newer downrigger rod for ocean fishing. I'm open to your recommendations and would make arrangements to procure one the next time I'm in Westport.
